The marina of Puerto Calero was opened in 1990 and although for many years it looked rather deserted, Puerto Calero now has no lack of yachts and boats. It is fast becoming one of the nicest places on the island with many new shops and restaurants that have and are still opening. The marina is also the starting point for a range of activities including CatLanza, submarine safaris, shark fishing and cruises.
If you enjoy dining out, the restaurants along the Marina front come highly recommended. There is food from all corners of the world on offer, and the great McSorleys Bar to end the night locally. However if you fancy more bars or clubs on the island they are all 5 Minutes down the road in a taxi or car straight into the bustling resort of Puerto Del Carmen.
