The lounge has a wood burning stove and a good selection of books, satellite Sky TV, internet broadband access and DVD player. We have furnished the house in a simple but attractive Andalucian style. The property is on one level with a gated, stepped entrance. It is suitable for disabled persons if they can manage the two small steps at the second entrance. It is safe for children or pets, because they will be unable to leave the confines of the house and patio and stray to the poolside unnoticed. The main bedroom has a double bed and there are fitted wardrobes in both bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped for long term living. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator/ freezer, electric fan assisted oven, gas hob and extractor, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, wine rack, etc., There are ceiling fans in every room and mosquito screens on the windows. We provide additional portable fans if wanted. During cooler, winter months, we supply duvets and room heaters.
Casa Rosa has three bedrooms and is also laid out on one storey, although there is a step inside the house leading to the sleeping area, which would make the house difficult for a disabled person. There are two shower bathrooms in this property. There is a double bed in one room, two twins in each of the other rooms and all have fitted wardrobes with plenty of books again to make your stay enjoyable. The kitchen, though small, is perfectly formed and well equipped, having a large refrigerator/ freezer, free standing cooker, washing machine, ironing board, iron, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, etc., This house also has Sky TV, internet broadband access, mobile CD/MP3 player, Playstation 2 and a video player. There is a private patio, table, chairs and large sun awning.
All bed linen and towels are provided, although we ask you to bring your own beach towels. We provide our guests with a small welcome pack on arrival, with any seasonal produce from the finca if available - avocados, plums, mandrarins, tomatoes, lemons, oranges, kumquats, satsumas, grapes, custard apples.

Golf Our properties are next door to the 27 hole Lauro golf course. Each hole has the name of a famous bullfighter, with a friendly layout amongst beautiful scenery. Designed by Folco Nardi. Not too demanding but an ideal spot to assess your game. The difficult Alhaurin el Grande course is 10 mins away, Mijas Golf is 15 mins, Miraflores Golf Academy 15 mins., considered to be one of the best in Spain.
The houses are an ideal base for golfers because we can take groups of 10, total privacy is assured, , ave our maid service can be provided if desired.

Cycling is very popular in this area and the Spanish are pretty good at it, winning many international events.
Bird watching. A twitcher guest counted no less than thirty species in a day in our garden. This is the first stop for the birds migrating from Africa. Spring brings the flamingos ( visit Laguna de la Fuente de Piedre, breeding ground of the wild flamingo—50 mins drive ), irridescent honeybee eaters, swallows and in summer, the eagles continuously circle overhead in the village on the hot thermals. My personal favourite is the silly nightjar, which decides to take off just as you reach it in the car.
Clay pigeon shooting. There are two gun clubs 5 mins drive away close by and a paint ball shooting company.
Tennis Lew Hoad’s famous tennis club is about 25 mins drive away plus there are public courts in both Alhaurins
Water sports jet skiing, boat trips, scuba diving, dolphin watching, water skiing, deep sea fishing on the coast plus Alhaurin el Grande has a new indoor sports and swimming pool complex. There are two Aqua Parks in Torremolinos and Fuengirola, Seaworld and several interesting marinas on the coast, including Benalmadena.
Hiking there are some lovely parks and trails in this area but October to Spring are best times for walking.
Horse riding I ride in Alhaurin el Grande in the evenings in Summer. Many people have their own horses, of course, and the Andalucians are renowned for their horsemanship and beautiful horses
