WINTER
Brand new luxury 2 bedroom apartment (sleeps 6, 1 double bedroom plus a large room with 2 single beds and a full sized bunk, so no-one sleeps on a sofa bed) newly furnished to a high standard, bright and clean throughout.
First class position 4150ft up in the French Alps (3 miles from Switzerland by road - closer skiing) and 2 minutes walk to Super Chatel Ski Lifts with access to the fantastic Portes Du Soleil ski system. We love skiing and bought this apartment because it's in a wonderful ski area yet the village of Chatel is commercial enough for a good holiday yet it hasn't been spoiled, and it's great for families. It's certainly not one of those soleless purpose built resorts. Due to having many North facing slopes the snow record is great in this area until the lifts close at the end of April.
In the evening, if you don't want to cook using our fully fitted kitchen, it's only a short stroll to some lovely restaurants and bars.
If you drive (about 525 miles from Calais, mostly motorway and easily driveable in a day) you can park in our garage. If you fly we are about 90 minutes drive from Geneva airport which is served by Easyjet.
Our apartment is managed by a local agent who speak English. We can give you all the information you need to book lift passes, ski hire and ski school if required. All of which is a stones throw from the apartment and can be prebooked over the net.

SUMMER
Once the snow has melted the area turns into a mass of Alpine flowers and lush green hills and mountains. In July and August the ski lifts re-open for walkers and many are adapted to carry bikes too. This is a very popular area for mountain bikers and there are lots of well marked trails, fun parks and bike hire shops. There's a bob luge run and devil karts with a fixed price "ride all day" ticket so loads to entertain adults and kids.
There are some lovely drives down the valley to Lake Geneva and the surrounding areas, including Switzerland, which is just 3 miles up the road.
