The apartment is front line with views over the Mar Menor, and sits in a newly built block, which has a communal swimming pool. The apartment has a large roof solarium over looking the shore line.
Adjacent to the apartment is a large family/childrens play area.
Los Nietos is an old fishing village and it retains much of it's charm and appeal. Within the village there are restaurants, shops, bars, a bank and there is a train station with regular trains (FEVA) going into the historic city of Cartegena. Well worth the 4 euro return fare.
The surrounding countryside is lovely. There are mountains to the North and for the more active these offer fantastic walking or cycling (mountain bikes) days out. The other side of these mountains is the Med with it's miles of white sandy beaches. If you fancy a bit of 'nude' bathing, or sun bathing, then there is a beach for the purpose here.
The Mar Menor, Europes largest sea water lagoon, is seperated from the Mediterranean Sea by a strip of land known as the La Manga strip. This lagoon is a safe haven for children, non swimmers etc, because of its wave free shallowness. Its also supposed to be therapeutic because of it's increased saline content.
For the golfer there are a host of high quality courses nearby, including the La Manga Club.
Water sports, including sailing and diving are available.

IMPORTANT: It is important to point out that the apartment is on the 2nd floor accessed via 42 steps, so is not suitable for everybody.
