Awd Tuts Cottages in Whitby consist of two idyllic luxury holiday cottages, both in good location, ETC 4 stars. We are non-smoking and do not allow pets for the purposes of your comfort.
The Cottages are delightfully furnished, fully equipped and totally Self Catering. Both cottages have been graded English Tourism Council 4 stars for luxury, quality and comfort.

Both cottages are extremely stylish throughout, with exquisite decoration and furnishings. Cleanliness is of the highest standards and personal touches abound. Both cottages offer luxury self-catering accommodation in Whitby at an affordable price. Each cottage has it's own unique style.

Historic, romantic Awd Tuts Cottage was built in the year 1640, and offers old world charm on Whitby harbourside. This holiday cottage is ideally placed in the very centre of Whitby 'Old Town'.

For a more contemporary option, choose our Riverside Cottage, new for 2004. This cottage offers traditional elegance in a tranquil location on the banks of the scenic River Esk.

For the comfort of all our guests and to maintain the highest of standards, we are strictly non-smoking and we do not allow pets - sorry.

'Awd Tuts' Cottage in the heart of Whitby Old Town is a four-storey, ex-fisherman's cottage full of charm, with low ceilings and wooden beams. Considerably refurbished, this cottage has been graded ETC 4 stars for supreme quality. The cottage dates back to the year 1640 and sleeps 4 people comfortably, plus one infant.

The Lounge is fully equipped with Sky TV and video and the fully fitted kitchen is well equipped with all the comforts of home. The Main Bathroom has a beautiful white bathroom suite incorporating a Jacuzzi, and the Master Bedroom has convenient en-suite facilities.

If required, we can provide a cot, high-chair and safety gate free of charge to guests.
Guests should note there is no direct parking but access for drop off and pick up is allowed in the old cobbled streets. Also, the nearest Car Park is just 180 metres away and some free parking is allowed on 'Church Street' nearby.

Riverside Cottage is an exclusive, brand new, contemporary 3-bedroom, and 2-bathroom cottage ideally placed very close to Whitby town centre and it's many attractions, including Whitby Abbey. This gem of a cottage nestles below the former railway viaduct on a tidal section of the lower River Esk. Riverside has been graded ETC 4 star also for quality and comfort, and sleeps 6 people plus 1 infant. Riverside has two divine double bedrooms and 1 bedroom with modern bunk beds, perfect for the kids. All are delightfully decorated in light and airy colours. (Cot, high chair, safety gates provided free of charge) Our superb rooms are luxuriously appointed and feature all of the amenities you would expect from first-class accommodation. The cottage setting is in a beautiful tranquil location with a free slipway to the River Esk and enjoys open views down the river toward the open sea. Ideal for more than one family or couples. The lounge has its own private balcony overlooking the River Esk, and the charming contemporary dining room also has a view across the river. Riverside Cottage has a contemporary decoration throughout, with divine hard wood floors, and crisp contemporary colours and furniture. The first floor bathroom has a shower over bath, and the second floor bathroom has a bath, both in white. The fully equipped modern kitchen is light and airy, and again with a contemporary design.

We welcome families with children and offer an array of Children’s Facilities for your convenience. These include a Quality travel cot for children less than 2 years of age, a High chair, Safety gate, and a selection of Books, videos, games, and toys. Please note that we do not provide cot bedding, but there is no charge for children’s' facilities.
