High Country House is a beautiful wooded 2 acre estate home located in the village of Bragg Creek, Kananaskis Country.

Bragg Creek is the gateway to Kananaskis Country, and one hour from world renowened Banff, 30 minutes to the city of Calgary.

Kananskis Country is a 4000 square km recreation area which has something for everyone. From gentle foothills to craggy mountain peaks this area is stunning. A visitor information center, just west of Bragg Creek, along Highway 66 , offers a host of information about horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking trails and a whole lot more. Further along highway 66 is breathtaking Elbow falls. Bordered by jutting rocks and forests of pine and spruce the falls attract visitors from around the world.

This vacation home is ideal for family gatherings, vacations, weddings, executive relocation, temporary lodging, small conferences, brain storming/team building, movie executive housing, educational/artisan courses, honeymoons or anniversaries.

The front of the house is approached through a Victorian verandah, complete with wicker seating.

Through the many large windows in the Great Room, the adjoining kitchen, and the large rear deck, deer squirrels,rabbits and birds are a delight to watch. The rear deck is also a great place to enjoy the morning cup of coffee, or to entertain and have a BBQ.

On a chilly evening enjoy the fireplace while watching satellite TV, a movie in the VCR or listening to the stereo. The Gourmet Kitchen is well equipped with microwave, dishwasher, fridge, gas range, dishes and gourmet cooking utensils.

The comfortable and spacious Living Room is furnished with beautiful antiques, comfy seating, and a cozy wood burning fireplace. The large antique Dining Room suite will seat up to 12,linen and fine china is provided.

The Upper Level Master bedroom features French doors and two dormer window seats to curl up in. The King Size four poster bed is made up with luxury linen, soft duvets and quilts. The spectacular ensuite is situated in a windowed octagonal, with a two person jetted tub, two sinks and separate shower and toilet.

Bedrooms 2,3 and 4 feature queen beds, cozy quilts and duvets with a shared full bathroom. Each room's decor is elegant and charming.

The Lower level suite has a separate entrance and can be included in the house rental or rented separately. This is a self contained unit with two bedrooms, one with a queens size bed and the other with two singles, as well as a full bathroom. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, toaster,kettle,coffe maker, dishes and cutlery. The Livingroom area features comfortable seating, a TV with separate satellite receiver and remote controls, as well as a VCR.

Washer and Dryer are available on a shared basis.

Complimentary cleaning service if stay is more then a week.
