This beautiful old cortijo enjoys fabulous 180% views to the “white village” of Gaucin perched on a promontory, majestic mountains and over green hill, vale and shimmering sea to the Straits of Gibraltar and N.Africa.Full of genuine old world charm the house takes its name from the Roman washboards found on this site.

The accommodation here is laid out on terraces connected by flower-fringed pathways.The old farmhouse at the top has a cosy living/dining room with a handsome open fireplace.There is a spacious ensuite blue bedroom dotted with antiques plus 2 further bedrooms a double and a twin served by another bathroom.The large vine –covered terrace outside offers the perfect spot for al fresco dining soaking up the wonderful views.

A short stroll away the lower house has a large living /dining room where sunlight streams through picture windows and a further kitchen.There is also a large double bedroom decorated with hand-painted furniture and a bathroom.
