St Ives: artist's colony, fishing village and holiday haunt. Porthmeor Beach, famous for surfing ,is surrounded by National Trust headlands and coastal cliff walks. The view is:- rock pools, a fine sandy beach and the Atlantic - calm one day, full of great white caps the next .The fantastic light explains why Porthmeor has been painted by so many famous artists: Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson, Bernard Leach, Patrick Heron . The sea view from living room is breathtaking. Our apartment is a double height glass fronted studio with a sunny bedroom and dining terrace upstairs.Downstairs is a fully equipped kitchen with sea view, a bathroom and living/ dining room .A double sofa bed and two single beds along one wall offer flexibility in sleeping arrangements (4/5 is a comfortable maximum.) At ground level you will have a private door to the beach, a caretaker and a courtyard laundry. We think there is no better place to swim, sun and dream in all England.
